A FEW TIPS FOR THE EXAM.

Very important aspects, regarding "Speaking" and "Writing":

1. Use a wide variety of STRUCTURES, such as "conditionals", "relative clauses", "reported speech", "passive voice" and so on. In a natural way!

2. Use specific VOCABULARY related to the topic you have to speak or write about. For example, if the topic is "Health" you have to use words like "symptoms", "appointment", "GP", "NHS", "prescription"...

3. Use LINKERS in order to give coherence to your speaking or writing. For instance, if you want to add information you can use "besides", "in addition", "furthermore"...
But do not overuse them!

4. Use an appropriate REGISTER, that is, make it formal or informal depending on the activity.

5. Remember that a good use of ADVERBS make English language sound more vivid and natural!

If you don't have the "Evaluation criteria" photocopy, let me know and I'll give you a copy. I hope you find it useful. Good luck!
